Raw, free-range eggs are one of the healthiest foods you can find for under $1 (or close), and they're still an inexpensive and and very good source of high quality nutrients many of which people are deficient in, especially high-quality protein and fat. A single egg contains: amino acids, high quality protein for repair and maintenance of your body tissues and to keep your immune system and hormones at peak levels, lutein and zeaxanthin, choline and B12. As long as you have a good source for organic eggs you won't have to worry about salmonella.
